Quick Teriyaki Minced Beef with Noodles is exactly what you want to cook for a speedy midweek meal when time is tight and inclination tighter. An added bonus is it's easy, healthy and mucho delicious.
This chinese style minced beef stir fry is ready in under 15 minutes and a real crowd pleaser for all the family.
I like to serve it with wholewheat noodles because the kids can't tell the difference and it ups the healthy stakes. I also reckon you could call it a fakeaway and the kids would fall for it. Just call me smug Sue.
It's also great to use up any spare veg that you have in the fridge and just super delish, delish, delish.

Quick & Easy Chinese Style Minced Beef Stir Fry Recipe
The ingredients are simple and interchangeable to suit you sir. In fact the whole thing is so simple it almost makes itself. Stir fry recipes are everything you want at the end of a busy day let's face it.
500 grams (17.5 oz) Minced Beef (Ground) 15 % fat - You can use 20% if you want as it is much cheaper and just drain the fat away after browning. You could also use chicken or turkey mince here. To make the dish totally vegetarian then use a quorn or similar protein substitute.
Head of Broccoli medium sized - chopped to approx 2 cm pieces
Mange Tout 150 grams (5.3 oz)
Baby Sweetcorn 150 grams (5.3 oz) - halve them lengthways so that they cook quicker
150 grams Teriyaki Sauce - your favourite shop bought sauce
4 nests wholewheat noodles dried or the equivalent of fresh. You could substitute rice here too.
Method
- Cook your noodles according to the packet instructions.
- Whilst the noodles are cooking, in the largest frying pan you've got or even better a wok, brown your mince off in 2 tbsp of oil. Sprinkle over a tbsp of flour and mix through well.
- Add the chopped broccoli and sliced baby sweetcorn and cook on a gentle heat for a further five minutes.
- Add in the mange tout and teriyaki sauce.
- Stir through and cook for a further 5 minutes stirring regularly.
- Add the noodles in and mix well through. I like to use a pair of forks to carefully turn the noodles over and through the beefy mixture.
- Serve straight away whilst piping hot.

Substitute any vegetables you fancy or you want to use up. I like using green vegetables with beef.
Store leftovers covered in the fridge and reheat till piping hot.

Equipment
- 1 very large frying pan or wok
- 1 saucepan
- 1 chopping board
- 1 Sharp Knife
- 1 Digital Scales
- 1 colander noodles
Ingredients
- 500 grams minced beef 15% fat
- 150 grams teriyaki sauce shop bought
- 1 medium head of brocolli finely chopped
- 150 grams mange tout
- 150 grams baby sweetcorn halved
- 4 nests dried wholewheat noodles
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 olive oil tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Cook your noodles according to the packet instructions.
- Whilst the noodles are cooking, in the largest frying pan you've got or even better a wok, brown your mince off (cook till you can't see any more red in the mince) in 2 tbsp of oil. Sprinkle over a tbsp of flour and mix through well.
- Add the chopped broccoli and sliced baby sweetcorn and cook on a gentle heat for a further five minutes. Stir every 30 seconds or so. Put a lid on if you have one and stir every minute.
- Add in the mange tout and teriyaki sauce.
- Stir through and cook for a further 5 minutes stirring regularly.
- Add the noodles in and mix well through. I like to use a pair of forks to carefully turn the noodles over and through the beefy mixture.
- Serve straight away whilst piping hot. Add more sauce if you like it extra saucy.
