Easy Slow Cooker Savoury Mince is one of the simplest family meals that I know. Extra vegetables added towards the end of cooking make it even more user friendly with all you need already in there swimming about in a delicious rich and beefy gravy.
This recipe is all about the easy. It's a dump and go slow cooker meal that is exactly what we need when time is tight and the weather chilly.
Reasons To Make This Recipe!
- It's super easy! I use ingredients that require virtually no preparation. Frozen chopped onion, frozen vegetables, red wine stock pots and gravy made from gravy granules and it's as tasty as a very tasty thing.
- Great to come home to a hot meal. You can make it up in the morning in an instant, flick that switch and throw some veg in ten mins or so before you're ready to serve.
- Minimal washing up. That's high on my priority list always.
- Use the vegetables that suit you.
- Economical recipe with cheap ingredients and minimal electricity used.

Slow Cooker Savoury Mince Recipe
Ingredients
- 500 grams (17.6 oz) minced beef - fresh or frozen
- 200 grams (7 oz) frozen vegetables
- 2 red wine stock pots - there is no alcohol in them but they give a great depth of flavour. Use beef stock pots if you don't have any.
- 400 mls beef gravy made with 40 grams gravy granules so it is a thick consistency
- 150 grams frozen chopped onion or 1 whole chopped medium onion
Method
Put the minced beef in your slow cooker pot.
Tip on your gravy, stock pots and onions.
Mix together well and cook on Low for 6 hours.
Ten minutes before you are ready to eat scatter in your vegetables and stir through.
Serves four easily.
Serving Suggestions
My personal favourite is to serve this beef mince with mashed potatoes or cheesy mash. They make the best comfort food combo.
Roast Potatoes would be seriously good as would dauphinoise potatoes for a more fancy pants choice and Easy Oven Baked Potato Wedges or roasted new potatoes would be a more busy week night option
Buttery red cabbage would be outstanding here especially if made beforehand to keep with the low effort vibe we've got going on in the first place.
